The Cisticolidae are warblers found mainly in warmer southern regions of the Old World. They are generally very small birds of drab brown or grey appearance found in open country such as grassland or scrub. There are 17 species found in India & 8 species found in Karnataka. I have found 5 species in Mysuru.
